JavaScript SDK magic made easy

Integrating Smarty’s Address Autocomplete API using our JavaScript SDK is a breeze. Smarty also has SDKs for .NET, Android, Go, iOS, Java, PHP, Python, Ruby, and Rust, making setting up client credentials, building functions, and handling address lookups look like child’s play.

Customize to your heart’s content

Smarty’s Autocomplete Pro API is your new best friend. You can easily customize everything in how your address data is presented to your user, including:

Additional address autocomplete enhancements

Geolocation awesomeness

We revealed the power of geolocation, showing how to use IP addresses to make suggestions more relevant. For example, you can make autocomplete prioritize suggested addresses near the user's IP location.

Address validation wizardry

Dealing with secondary addresses like apartments or units? No problem! Smarty’s APIs handle it all. Combine autocomplete tools with the US Street API for even more detailed data about each address. It’s like having an address data superpower!

Tips and tricks from the pros

Optimize lookups

Pro tip: use an if statement to reduce the number of lookups you spend per address. Check the length of the address input before calling the API to save on unnecessary lookups and improve efficiency.

Handle new addresses

Got new buildings with units not yet in the database? No sweat! Use the base address from any autocomplete tool and let users add their unit numbers manually. Combine with the US Street API for full validation.

Ready to try Smarty’s autocomplete?

You can get a free trial with 1,000 lookups for testing. Need more testing lookups? Just ask, and Smarty will hook you up!

This includes the legacy USPS Address Information APIs that many organizations have depended on for years. Under USPS’s new API structure, the default quota for many services, including the Addresses API, is 60 requests per hour.
